As the UK’s third largest grocery retailer, with over 1200 stores, Sainsbury’s know the importance of efficient, pragmatic solutions to the problems of store design and development. They’ve chosen to work with Integrity to ensure that all of their new stores are effectively branded and signage is correctly applied.
We’re taking a straightforward, tightly costed approach to the problem, developing brand application scheme that ensures the best visibility of signs applied to each site, both externally and internally across the whole customer journey.
Our work on each store begins with an analysis of architect’s elevations and plans. We carefully assess these to ensure that the correct customer journey decision points are highlighted. We then specify each internal and external sign, applying them to plans and elevations from the approved library of available items.
Our proposals are signed off by the Store Design team, before we then begin the process of liaison with the Property Project Managers to ensure that the overall deign intent, and any site-specific anomalies, are properly understood by the internal Sainsbury's implementation teams.
We're then on-hand throughout the build process to action adjustments to the signage and branding scheme to respond to on-site change or cost challenges, and we follow the process right through to snagging - visiting each site to make sure work has been carried out as planned, and then reporting back and ensuring errors are corrected.
We’re proud to be helping Sainsbury’s deliver a great customer experience at every new store.
