Oxleas NHS Trust serve patients in the South London and Kent area. When undertaking a programme of updating their 125 sites they turned to Integrity to help them redesign the signage and patient reception areas, with an emphasis on the welcome desk.
With the recent development of a new brand identity, Oxleas realised they needed this to be considered in terms of 3D spaces, not just as a 2D design for print and digital. Having seen our successful work developing Kent Police’s reception areas, Oxleas asked us to help.
We worked with the Oxleas’ team to develop the design of external and internal signage and customer reception areas. We extended the Oxleas’ design philosophy across all of the materials and finishes within the environment and later implemented this across the entire patient journey at their Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup, London.
This wayfinding strategy and signage design used key elements such as colour, clear naming systems and 3D mapping visuals to help ease the wayfinding experience in high pressure and challenging circumstances.
