Home retailer Argos is undergoing a transformation to help it compete and succeed in the digital and online shopping age. Part of that process is engaging and communicating more effectively with their teams in stores.
In order to improve the engagement of employees and create better places for them to work, Argos commissioned Integrity to help design new branding and identity for their employee rest areas in stores. We helped them to create an innovative and communicative design that makes the spaces feel brighter and lighter, while at the same time communicating key messages to staff.
Our process for workplace design always begins with an in-depth look at the brand. We need to understand (or define) the brand values, key messages and the company vision and culture. We follow this with brainstorming sessions, getting some of our most creative minds to think about how those various aspects of a business might be represented visually and graphically before feeding that back to the client.
Once we’ve got a preferred route ahead, we begin to flesh out the conceptual design into actual, implementable features, communications, furniture and graphics to translate it into the workplace.
The work with Argos is another part of their strategy to move the business in a new direction.
